Doubledrift Game Reserve, Peddie, Eastern Cape.

23000-Ha reserve conserves some of the best examples of succulent valley bushveld. Rugged terrain provides diverse habitats and stunning views. Together with the Sam Knott Nature Reserve and Andries Vosloo Kudu Reserve, it forms the 45000-Ha Great Fish River Reserve complex. Game includes black rhino, Cape buffalo, elephant, giraffe, hippo, zebra and kudu. The reserve has a rich history.  Homes that belonged to the Knott family have been converted into lodges. The Mvubu lodge and chalet complex have been built from local materials on the banks of the Fish River. See numerous game species at the Inyathi Game Camp. Features include:

Between Peddie, King William’s Town, Fort Brown and Alice. Bedford is on the R63 northwest of King William’s Town, which is on the N2 northwest of East London, which is at the intersection of the N2 with the N6. Travel southeast from Bedford towards East London on the R63. 20-km east of Fort Beaufort and 6-km west of Alice, turn south onto the R345 and travel for 25-km to the entrance.
