Surrounded by mountains, Cradock is a picturesque oasis on the banks of the Great Fish River in the heart of the Karoo.Die Tuishuisie is in the heart of old Cradock, an area steeped in historical tradition. Originally used by saddle, harness and wagon makers, schoolteachers and bank managers. Farmers later used it as their Tuishuis.  Market Street has been restored to reflect this era. Each house has been decorated in a different historical and cultural style. They are self-contained and fully serviced. Each house contains one or more bedrooms, a bathroom, lounge and kitchen. Breakfast is served in the Victoria Dining Room and Karoo dinners in the Albert of Victoria Manor. Conference facilities. Mountain Zebra Park is a 20-minute drive. Hikes to discover the fascinating variety of flora and fauna, rare succulents, aloes and cycads. The area is well known for its fossil deposits and rare Bushman (Bushmen) etchings (petroglyphs).
