Pin Oak and Valley View Cottages, Underberg, Southern Drakensberg, Central Kwa-Zulu Natal.

Both cottages are self-catering and fully furnished, with all linen, towels, crockery, cutlery and electric appliances.  Electric blankets and oil heaters for snowy nights. Wood for the indoor fire is supplied. Serviced daily.

o    Pin Oak Cottage: Secluded two-bedroom cottage on the banks of a 5-Ha trout filled dam under a copse of pin oaks. On the scenic Hlogoma Dairy Farm, only 4-km from Underberg. Birdwatchers haven and trout fisherman’s tranquil retreat. No charge for fishing in the dam, and a boat is supplied.  Sleeps eight. One bedroom with one double and one single bed. One bedroom with two single beds. One bathroom. Open plan living room with double bunk and a single bed. Braai facilities available. Walks around the farm, visit the dairy parlour, feed the calves, mountain biking (cycling). Tennis on a tarmac court.

o    Valley View Cottage: Two-bedroom cottage with a verandah and an unforgettable view. Also on Hlogoma farm but distant from Pin Oak Cottage. Complete privacy although only 3.5-km from Underberg.  Ideal for a couple, a small family or two keen trout fishermen.  Note that fishing is strictly by arrangement through us or through the Underberg Trout Fishing Club if you are a member. Sleeps three comfortably, and we will consider four under special circumstances. One bedroom with one double bed. One bedroom with one single bed. Bathroom and braai facilities.

Underberg is on the R617 west of Howick, which is on the N3 northwest of Durban, which is at the intersection of the N2 with the N3. Travel southwest on the R617 from Howick (exit #99) on the N3 via Boston and Bulwer towards Underberg. Watch for the signs on the right to Hlogoma Farm, Valley View and Pin Oak Cottages, which are on the D334. 25-minutes west of Bulwer. BKPinoak
