Albany Guest Farm, Port Alfred (Portalfred), Sunshine Coast, Eastern Cape.

Overlooking the rolling hills and the Kap River Nature Reserve. 42-Ha of unspoilt vegetation with many cycads. Hiking and canoe trails.  Golden beaches and two lagoon-like rivers nearby.

•    Enchanting Cottages:  Peaceful and quiet lodge in a perfect hideaway. The main building is probably the only “Fachwerk” house in Africa.
•    Bush Cottage: Rustic atmosphere combined with comfort. One room cottage sleeps four. Views from the half-open kitchenette, large glass doors and shower. Electricity but you might prefer paraffin lamps after sunset.
•    Tudor House: generously equipped and carefully decorated cottage. Sauna and champagne pool. Spacious lounge, two bedrooms, one double bed in an open loft, and two single beds downstairs, a whirlpool bath and a fully equipped kitchen.  TV with M-Net, video, stereo and book library.
•    Settlers Cottage (Pussyfoot). Authentic Settler’s house that was moved from Port Alfred and re-erected on the farm.  Two cosy bedrooms (one double and two singles), a fully equipped kitchenette, lounge and verandah with a lovely view.  Admire the starry sky while you relax in a Victorian bath. Outside shower for nature lovers.

Hiking and mountain bike trails as well as canoeing through the Kap River Nature Reserve. Miles of golden beaches in Kleinemond (5 minutes) and Port Alfred (20 minutes).  Two wide warm rivers ideal for swimming.  Horse riding on the beach.  Fish River Sun with its golf club nearby.  Boating, fishing and many other activities.

Port Alfred is on the R72 east of Port Elizabeth, which is at the intersection of the N2 with the N10. Travelling east on the R72, turn left 20-km from Port Alfred at the “Shaw Park Trappes Valley” signpost. Travel inland for 3.5 km. The Albany is on the right.
