Restored farmhouse. Fully equipped with 8 beds and bedding, stove, cutlery and crockery, bathroom with hot water, candles and gas lamps, generator power, 220V, DSTV. Meals on request. Breathtaking scenery. Birds and game in Suurveld, which resembles the bushveld. Indigenous bush, wild olive, white stinkwood, outeniqua yellowwood, kiepersol, aloes, prickly pears and acacia thorn trees. Kudu, rhebuck, baboon, vervet monkey, bushbuck, bushpig, steenbok and duiker.  Black eagle, blue crane, cape vulture and jackal buzzard are seen. Tailor-made hiking trails. Sleeping for eight or more in a restored woolshed. Trout and flyfishing. Bring your own equipment.

Hunting can be arranged. A professional hunter’s service is provided. Flush toilet, braai area and grill with wood. 4x4 route and mountain bike trail for enthusiasts. 

Craigie Burn is between Cookhouse and Somerset East, which is on the R63 west of Cookhouse, which is on the N10 south of Cradock, which is on the N10 south of Middelburg, which is at the intersection of the N9 with the N10. Turn north at the Glen Avon turnoff. After 13-km, turn right at the Craigie Burn signboard. ALCraigie
