Sunset Ranch, Derdepoort, Bushveld, North-West Province.

In the heart of the bushveld. Game includes nyala, kudu, impala, gemsbok, giraffe, wildebeest, eland, warthog, zebra, etc.  Colourful butterflies in summer as well as a variety of beetles, including dung beetles. Malaria-free area. Several types of accommodation, as follows:

•    Luxury Chalets: Three luxury chalets sharing a communal, fully equipped kitchen. Each chalet has three bedrooms each sleeping two, a complete bathroom and lounge.  All bedding and towels provided. Ceiling fans and hospitality trays. Satellite TV in the boma.
•    Rustic Chalet: Four bedrooms sleeping two per room. Fully equipped kitchen and bathroom. Private boma.
•    Bush Cottage: 3-km from the main camp. Sleeps four with a fully equipped kitchen, private boma and deck for game viewing and sundowners.  No electricity – hot water is provided by a “donkey”. Cooking over the fire. Oil lanterns.
•    Waters Edge Chalets: Perfect spot to sip sundowners. Each chalet has a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom with shower and sleeps four.  Portable braais available.
•    Caravan and tent stands: Large clean ablution block with showers, baths, scullery and laundry facility. Electrical outlets on all stands.

Conference facilities accommodate up to 26 delegates. Overhead projector, TV and bar. Catering by prior arrangement. Games room with table tennis, snooker table and darts. Large salt-water swimming pool. Satellite TV, horse riding, hiking and bird watching. Convenience store for essentials. Activities for the children include trampolines, jungle gym, sandpit, swings and swimming pool.  Day and night game viewing in open 4x4’s or on horses as well as on foot. 

Sunset Ranch is east of Warmbaths, which is on the N1 south of Potgietersrus, which is at the intersection of the N1 with the N11. Turn west off the N1 at Warmbaths and travel west on the R516 towards Thabazimbi. Turn south 61-km from Warmbaths towards Assen, which is in the R511 north of Brits. After 5.7-km turn left and travel for 2.8-km. Turn left again and travel for 600-m. Close to Borakalala Nature Reserve and the Moretele River. AYSunset
