Lesheba Wilderness, Louis Trichardt, Soutpansberg, Bushveld, Limpopo Province.

A magical African experience. Along the top of the Soutpansberg Mountains lies a hidden valley. Part of the Western Soutpansberg Conservancy and a Natural Heritage Site, its rich and varied vegetation ranges from sandveld to savannah, from vlei to fynbos.  Over 350 species of trees, including high canopy forest, a sanctuary for samango monkeys. Meander through lush bush, along cliff edges and down spectacular gorges with clear rock pools, where eagles soar above and klipspringer perch on rocky outcrops. Three self-catering camps, fully equipped and available on an exclusive basis to groups of up to 12.  A booking ensures that the camp and its surroundings become your own to explore and enjoy.  Hamasha offers magnificent views of Hamasha Gorge. There is a swimming pool at Leshaba Guest House. Rondavels are linked by intimate courtyards at Ralidzivah. Of special interest to birders are the aerobatic black eagles, purple crested louries and Cape vultures. Home to Bushman (Bushmen) paintings between 200 and 2000 years old. Spot rhino, giraffe and sable, rare brown hyena (hyaena) and leopard.

Louis Trichardt is on the N1 north of Potgietersrus, which is at the intersection of the N1 with the N11. AVLesheba.
