Ghost Mountain Inn, Mkuze, Maputoland, Northern Kwa-Zulu Natal.

At the foot of legendary Ghost Mountain near Mkuze.  This privately-owned inn is the gateway to the cultural, historical and ecological wonders of Maputoland. “It’s a great and strange mountain. It is haunted also and named the Ghost Mountain,” Nada the Lily, H Ryder Haggard. He did a spell of duty at the Ubombo Courthouse as a member of Sir Theophilus Shepstone's staff while Zululand was a British Protectorate. Memories of a violent warring past can be relived at the site of the Battle of Ghost Mountain, where Dinizulu (son of King Cetshwayo) defeated Zibhebhu, chief of the powerful Mandlakazi clan.
