De Lieve Woning Guesthouse, Renosterspruit, Klerksdorp, North-West Province.

A guesthouse where one discovers the culture and history of the old “Wes-Transvaal”.  The Koranna, Tswana, Boer and British left their mark on this malaria-free bushveld area. We will turn a simple overnight visit into a historical and cultural experience you will not forget.

Shortly after the Great Trek, the Badenhorst family settled on the farm Renosterspruit. During the Anglo-Boer War De Lieve Woning was demolished. The family returned from the various concentration camps and rebuilt the current home without using any cement.  Dirkie is a direct descendant of the family.  Four en-suite bedrooms with TV and M-Net. Bed and breakfast. Lunch and dinner on request. Conferences for a maximum of 16 delegates. Hiking and birdwatching. Swimming in a farm dam.  Nearby attractions include:

•    Yzerspruit Battlefield
•    Lion farm and game viewing
•    The monument in the old concentration camp
•    Klerksdorp Museum
•    Ancient Tswana kraal.

A visitor to “De Live Woning” once said: “Why, of all the places in my childhood, does this one, this farm, remain so vivid in my memories? I don’t know. Perhaps I found something of beauty there that I longed for or that struck a deep chord within me” Staying with us for a few days will rejuvenate your body and soul.

On the N12 between Wolmaransstad and Klerksdorp, which is on the N12 southwest of Gauteng. AXDeliewe
