Royal Hotel, Pilgrims Rest, Lowveld, Mpumalanga.

Recently restored to reflect the late Victorian style. Composed of ten authentic buildings dating to the latter part of the 19th century. 50 charming en-suite bedrooms. Trapped in a time warp, the lounge reflects an epoch of time-honoured hospitality. The informal restaurant offers hearty old-fashioned meals while the bedrooms boast brass beds, antique wash stands and sumptuous Victorian baths. Once a school chapel in Cape Town, the Church Bar was shipped to Lourenco Marques (now Maputo) and transported to the village by oxwagon. Museums, curiosity shops, gold panning, trout fishing, horse riding, hiking and picnicking are a few of the leisure activities to enjoy.  Enjoy a round of golf on the TGME golf course.  Conferences in the old Town Hall.
