Marijuana Trail, Wild Coast, Transkei, Eastern Cape.

Retrace the trail of dagga (marijuana) smugglers of the past along the Wild Coast. Transport in Unimogs which seat 13 passengers, a guide and a driver. It is divided into seven zones, each of which is serviced by a Unimog operating to a dedicated time schedule. This hop-on-hop-off service gives one freedom of choice and itinerary.  Accommodation en-route to suite one’s preferences and budget, with a choice of inns, lodges or backpacker lodges.  Campsites are available at designated areas or you may want to spend an evening in a traditional Xhosa hut. Experience the local culture through traditional dancing, ceremonies and cultural events of local Xhosa.  Guides provide information on traditions, culture, history and current affairs.  The trail hugs the coastline and back routes where possible, allowing access to areas that were previously inaccessible. Incredible scenic splendour, including majestic cliffs, shipwrecks, lagoons, rock formations, pounding surf, waterfalls cascading into the sea, wildlife, birds, and mouth-watering seafood.  Enjoy canoeing, kayaking, fly-fishing, diving, hiking, horse trails and more. Drivers are all SATOUR accredited and have completed St John’s First Aid Courses. Note: Although the Wild Coast road is full of potholes (pun intended), no marijuana (dagga) is sold, transported or permitted on the trail. Trails start in East London, which is at the intersection of the N2 with the N6. AZMarijuana
