City Hall, Pietermaritzburg, Midlands, Kwa-Zulu Natal.
This 1891 Flemish-style building of brick and plaster was gutted by fire in 1898 and rebuilt in 1901 with red brick marbled porticoes and a tall clock tower. It was one of the largest all-brick buildings south of the equator at the time of its construction. Pietermaritzburg is on the N3 northwest of Durban, which is at the intersection of the N2 with the N3. AGCity
