ID #2031

King Edward VII Tree, Knysna, Garden Route, Western Cape.

It is a giant yellowwood, perhaps 700 years old and about 40-m tall, with a circumference of 6-m. Its size is impressive but it by no means the largest tree around – it just happens to be close to the road. Knysna is on the N2 east of George, which is at the intersection of the N2 with the N12.
