Whale-Watching at Hermanus, Overberg, Western Cape.

One of the world’s top land-based whale-watching spots. A 10-km trail runs from the town along the coast and overlooks Walker Bay, where southern right whales congregate to mate and calve.

Hermanus is on the R43 south of Caledon, which is on the N2 west of Swellendam, which is at the intersection of the N2 with the N15. Travel southeast on the R44 from Botrivier on the N2. Turn east onto the R43 and continue to Hermanus. Alternatively, travel southwest on the R320 via Shaw’s Mountain Pass from Caledon. AHHermanus
