Whale-Watching from Die Kelders Hotel, Die Kelders, Overberg, Western Cape.

The little hotel on the cliffs above the spectacularly broad sweep and rolling white dunes of Walker Bay offers a good view of the whales that visit the bay between July and November.

Die Kelders is on the eastern shore of Walker Bay on the R43 southwest of Stanford, which is on the R326 southwest of Springerskuil, which is on the R316 southeast of Caledon, which is on the N2 west of Swellendam, which is at the intersection of the N2 with the N15. Travel southeast on the R44 and then the R43 from Botrivier, which is on the N2, via Hermanus and Stanford to Die Kelders. Alternatively, travel south on the R320 from Caledon to Hermanus. Another possibility is to travel southwest on the R326 via Springerskuil and Stanford. AHDekel
