Lion Park, Drakenstein, Paarl, Winelands, Western Cape.

A sanctuary for captive-born lions in the heart of the winelands. A 150-m catwalk extends over 2.5-Ha camps offering an incomparable lion viewing experience.  Facilities include a refreshment centre and curio shop, housed in a rustic thatch roofed building with an open-air viewing deck.  An “Out of Africa” experience only 45-minutes from Cape Town.  Open daily from 09h30 to 17h00. Closed on Christmas day.  Feeding times 16h00 on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

Paarl is on the N1 northeast of Cape Town. Between exit #47 (Klapmuts) and #55 (Paarl) on the N1 from Cape Town. Travel south under the highway and turn onto R101.  The Lion Park is south of the highway between the two exits. BLLion
