Sightseeing
Sudwala Caves, Lowveld, Mpumalanga.
If you are into clawing your way up rock faces, you might just fancy walking down into the depths of the earth. Sudwala, typical of dolomitic caves, are deep and dark but contains pretty stalactites and stalagmites. Open between 08h30 and 17h00. On the first Saturday of each month a special “crystal tour” into the deeper sections of the cave is conducted for the more adventurous and energetic of visitors. The dinosaur park at the Sudwala Caves predates Jurassic Park by a long way.
Montrose is on the N4 west of Nelspruit, which is on the N4 east of Middelburg, which is at the intersection of the N4 with the N11. Turn north off the N4 onto the R539 east of Montrose Falls. The route is well signposted. ADSudwala
