Winterton Museum, Northern Drakensberg, Northern Kwa-Zulu Natal.

A heritage of the past. Open Mondays to Fridays from 09h00 to 15h00 and on Saturdays from 09h00 to 12h00.  There are several exhibits:

•    The Drakensberg and its inhabitants
•    San (Bushman) Gallery and articles of interest.
•    Agricultural implements
•    Blacksmith shop
•    Weston Caravan.  Maximillian John Ludwick Weston was born near Vryheid in 1873.  He designed many devices, one of which is the caravan on exhibit.  He bought a 1918 Commerce chassis and built the caravan on top of it.  He travelled through Europe and throughout Africa in the caravan, and returned in 1933 to settle in Bergville.
•    Authentic Zulu homestead.

The museum is opposite the school in Church Street, Winterton, which is on the R600 southwest of Ladysmith, which is at the intersection of the N3 with the N11. AZWinterton
