Attractions of Colesberg, Karoo, Northern Cape.

There are several places of interest in Colesberg:

•    Jubilee Monument. A wrought iron monument erected in 1897 to commemorate the 60th anniversary of Queen Victoria’s reign.
•    Conniston House. Built in 1835. Lord Locke stayed here when he discussed the Swaziland Question with President Paul Kruger.
•    NG Church. Built in 1866. The bell tower was built in 1925
•    Karoo Townhouse. Built in 1860, it is now a national monument.
•    Anglican Church. Lady Gray, wife of the first bishop of Cape Town, designed the Church of the Province as a cathedral but only the chancellery was built in 1848.
•    Horse Mill national monument
•    Methodist Church (1882)
•    Dutch Reformed Church (1862). The oldest Reformed Church still in use.
•    Pioneer Museum. Formerly the Colesberg District Bank, it is now a museum. Articles of historical interest are displayed.

Colesberg is at the intersection of the N1 with the N9. AXAttractions
